‘Legends of Tomorrow’ season 2 and the new Time Masters twist
Meet the new Time Masters on “Legends of Tomorrow” season 2! Well technically, they actually are familiar faces to most people as it is.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Marc Guggenheim laid out the idea for the upcoming episodes. Specifically, one thing he mentioned was that it’s almost a role-reversal for many of the Legends this time around:
“In many ways, the season finale of season 1 set up the new mission statement for season 2 … Like Rip says at the end of the season finale, there basically are no more Time Masters. We basically have to be the Time Masters.”
There are two different ways this concept can go in the context of this show. One idea for season 2 is that you have the cast of characters running around solving isolated problems through time. If they are Time Masters in purpose, the most trivial of task could be of concern. Then, there are also the larger, mightier tasks that put the past and future in jeopardy. We imagine that the perfect balance for this show involves a mixture of the two, plus some more surprises like we had with Rex Tyler.
As for what we know at present, Wentworth Miller will be popping in and out this season thanks to a new series-regular deal. Meanwhile, There’s a new Vixen on the loose as Maisie Richardson-Sellers of “The Originals” has been cast as a regular. (Megalyn EK will continue to do “Vixen” for CW Seed, but was not available for a season-long arc.)
