‘Poldark’ season 2: Aidan Turner narrows down premiere window
Do we know know (finally) when the second season of “Poldark” is going to air on BBC One? While it’s not confirmed just yet, series star Aidan Turner has given us a major clue as to when the further adventures of Ross could air.
In a new interview with Premiere in France, the actor made it fairly clear that the premiere date window for the second season of the show is going to be in the first week of September. While this site and many other outlets have taken this to mean September 4, and they may be right, we’re not going to lock it in until we get the BBC One confirmation. They tend to not reveal these sort of things until the very last minute, and while it may be frustrating, we certainly would not be shocked if they did the same thing here made us wait for as long as possible for this sort of information.
One of the interesting things about the second season in general is that by the time it does actually air, the cast is going to be hard at work on making the just-renewed third season happen. It’s certainly odd timing, but this is happening mostly in part due to the BBC airing season 2 so much later than season 1, which aired in the spring of 2015. The production schedule did not really change too much, but the airing schedule did.
Hopefully, we will have some further news one way or another on the new season soon. Stay tuned…
