‘Girl Meets World’ season 3 spoilers: Who’s making a modest proposal?

We have spent so much time as of late talking about “Girl Meets World” through the lens of some of its younger characters, we probably have not given enough of a due to what is going on with some of the adults. As it turns out, Shawn Hunter in particular is going to have a much bigger role on Friday night’s “Girl Meets Upstate” than just advising Maya to find her true self; he’s also going to be proposing to her mother!

Per E! News, you can see the big moment for Shawn and Katy below, and it’s certainly a rather sweet one that shows just how far this character has gone for “Boy Meets World.” We haven’t seen too much of Rider Strong as this character this season, but he made sporadic appearances in season 2, has directed, and is very much a clear part of the “Girl Meets World” family.

Do we wish we saw even more of the journey to get to this moment? Absolutely, but at the same time we understand why we didn’t since it is not like this show is entitled “Shawn Hunter Meets World” or anything. There’s only so much they can show of this character when they have a heck of a lot of other stuff to highlight.

We figure that we’ll have more from this episode soon, which would be great just from the standpoint of seeing what some of the other character reactions to this moment are. We imagine there’ll be some good ones!
