‘The Flash’ season 3 spoilers: ‘Harry Potter’ alum Tom Felton set to be series regular
The folks over at “The Flash” have just announced their first major casting of the third season, and this is one to get very excited over.
As first reported by TVLine, Tom Felton is going to be a series regular in the role of Julian Dorn, a fellow CSI at the Central City Police who starts to become suspicious over time of Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and precisely what it is that he is up to. It’s far too early to tell what his role is ultimately going to be on the show, but our personal hope is that he ends up become a new adversary and a formidable one. Also, what would be wrong with the show inventing a new villain provided that they are a good one? We want to see Mirror Master, for example, but wouldn’t want his origin story completely hijacked.
“The Flash” has already shown its love for geek culture just by bringing in John Wesley Shipp as Barry’s father, and then eventually making the Earth-3 version of him into Jay Garrick, that universe’s version of The Flash. Heck, the entire DC universe on The CW has shown love to past genre work everywhere in between Brandon Routh on “Legends of Tomorrow,” Dean Cain on “Supergirl,” or John Barrowman on “Arrow.” This is just the latest icing on the cake.
You can expect to see Felton debut early this season, though it is unclear how early that will be given that there is the matter of “Flashpoint” to concern yourself with. In case you had not heard already, “Flashpoint” is the title for the season 3 premiere.
