‘The Flash’ season 3: Grant Gustin hypes first episode ‘Flashpoint’

Flash

If you love “The Flash,” first and foremost we don’t blame you. This is a show that has done so much great stuff through two seasons that it’s given you a reason to be psyched for the third … and it’s amplified that further courtesy of the Flashpoint decision that came with Barry going back in time and allowing his mother to live.

We cannot tell you just yet what the premiere title is, but Grant Gustin on Twitter revealed that he has just read the script! It certainly sounds like he’s excited to film it, which is going to happen in just a couple of weeks. Just look at the filming title this way: While we are celebrating the Fourth of July, the cast and crew of the show will be getting prepared to make season 3 the best one it can possibly be. Update: With Greg Berlanti’s blessing, the title is now revealed as “Flashpoint.” Seems appropriate.

What we find most curious is precisely how secretive the producers are being. We’ve gotten a chance to get some casting scoop for some other shows in the DC Universe on The CW, whether it be multiple “Arrow” castings or “Supergirl” deciding to cast “Teen Wolf” actor Tyler Hoechlin in the role of Superman. However, for one reason or another “The Flash” has decided to keep their announcements at a minimum. That means that we could have further intrigue for a longer period of time. Heck, we don’t even know who the Big Bad will be yet!

The new season will premiere on The CW come Tuesday, October 4 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time.
