‘MasterChef’ season 7, episode 6 preview: The lobster challenge
Just a word to the wise: If you hate watching animals being cooked, next week’s new episode of “MasterChef” probably isn’t for you.
Personally, there’s something about seeing live lobsters and crabs be cooked and torn apart that is super-uncomfortable. We know it’s a tad hypocritical as a meat-eater to feel that way, but there’s something about it that would make it really hard for us to ever take part in it. We probably wouldn’t be able to and be sent home on the spot.
Beyond this challenge, the preview for next week did not necessarily give much away, but it does look like we’re sticking around in the studio rather than going to some other location for a team challenge or something of the like. We like this for two reasons.
1. We don’t like team challenges that are of the “everyone go cook the same boring thing” variety; granted, we do like it better than the “cook this live shellfish” challenge, but still.
2. It keeps the home cooks on their toes. If you kind of know what’s coming up, maybe you will start to relax.
Momentum-wise, the question many of these cooks should be asking themselves is if there is a way to stop Terry, given he has been a significant force throughout most of the season so far and established himself as a serious competitor. There are other people, such as Andrea and Nathan, who you should also keep in mind as potential contenders.
