‘Sherlock’ season 4, and the latest (reported) casting news
While it may not be 100% official just yet, it definitely appears that “Sherlock” has just landed another familiar face in the pantheon of Mark Gatiss’ work .
Per a report from the Express, Sacha Dhawan, who worked with the “Sherlock” co-creator on the “Doctor Who” origin story project “An Adventure in Time and Space,” has been brought on board to play a season 4 role. for now, the only thing that we can say is that he will be taking on the role of someone named AJ. Let’s just hope that you love your casting scoops especially enigmatic!
Filming for the fourth season has specifically gone on for quite a while now, and it will continue to do so presumably for a little while longer in preparation for what is going to be a big premiere either in late 2016 or early 2017. It has been known that Toby Jones (“Infamous,” “Wayward Pines,” billions of other things) has also been cast for a role on the fourth season, playing a character familiar to fans of the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle source material. (We don’t want to say further than that.)
Rest assured that as soon as there is some more news out there regarding “Sherlock” and the future of the show, regardless of the nature of this said news, we’ll have some updates about it. The wait may have been long for these episodes, but we at least now think we’re going down the hill now rather than continuing the metaphorical ascent of waiting.
