‘Game of Thrones’ season 6, episode 9: Sophie Turner on Sansa Stark’s shocking kill
There were many incredible moments that occurred throughout Sunday night’s “Game of Thrones,” but we presume that none are going to surpass the way in which Ramsay Bolton died at the end of the hour. Sansa Stark was offered an opportunity by Jon Snow to deliver the final blow, and she did that courtesy of allowing Ramsay’s own dogs to eat him alive. Before unleashing them, she made it clear that history would forget him, and nobody would remember his name.
For Sophie Turner, it feels like an understatement that this may be one of her favorite scenes in the history of the show. In the video below, she explains precisely why she appreciated this particular scene so much:
“It’s such a strong moment for her because all her life she’s been affected by these men who have just done such terrible things to her … She’s always carried it with her.”
We do think that this is yet another turning point for a woman who now seems perfectly capable of being the Warden of the North. Jon may be a better military leader, but Sansa’s understanding of people, in particular through the lens of what she has gone through, should allow her to be the capable champion of the people of Winterfell. She can find ways to keep them safe, and also aware of the further battles to come.
After all, there is one clear struggle that remains approaching on the horizon: The arrival of the White Walkers. They will eventually be south of the Wall, and they are going to mean business in the worst possible ways.

Epic battle scenes brings home the fog of battle and the brutality of being caught in the frenzy of blood spilling. The glory goes to those who miraculously servive. Will Sansa become Warden of the North, will Arya join the Hound and the Red Priest, will Davos kill Melisandra. Will Jon Snow learn he could be related to Daenery. Will Daenery have conquered the seven kingdoms when the white walkers attack Castle Black.
