‘Game of Thrones’ season 6, episode 8 ratings: ‘No One’ stays reasonably steady

No One -One of the things that we have praised “Game of Thrones” for is its amazing consistency, especially this season when there really have not been too many shocking drop-offs in the ratings! For the latest ratings report, we have very little other than good news to pass along.

The latest episode of the HBO series, entitled “No One,” ended up posting a massive 3.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic. Sure, this is a slight decrease in the numbers in comparison to the installment before it, but it’s still a fantastic number worthy of celebrating, especially when it is bigger than any non-sports program airing on any network right now.

If you read CarterMatt regularly, then you also know that one other thing that we really like to do here is present some sort of year-to-year comparison. So far this season, “Game of Thrones” has improved more than 7% in the demo and almost 10% in total viewers. Sunday night’s new episode, in comparison to the eighth episode from season 5, was up by a 0.5 rating in the demo and also over 600,000 viewers. These numbers could be even more substantial when you factor in DVR views, streaming data, and some of the repeats that HBO puts out there over the course of the week.

Next week, we’re going to be especially curious how big the ratings are given that penultimate episodes for this show have a tendency to be more incredible than any other; this time around, we’re getting the Battle of the Bastards between Jon Snow and Ramsay Bolton.
