GoFundMe page for late ‘The Voice’ singer Christina Grimmie topples $125,000
Over the course of the past couple of days, fans of Christina Grimmie have been understandably doing what they can in order to pay tribute to the singer following a shocking shooting that took place earlier this weekend, whether it be sharing tribute videos or reaching out to other fans. Her management did their part by setting up a GoFundMe page in order to help support the family of late singer, who was famous for both YouTube and being on the sixth season of NBC’s “The Voice.”
Over the span of the past couple of days, the fans have been more than generous in donating over $125,000 to help care for those who need the support, and have sacrificed quite a bit for the sake of her dream. For many fans, it is about offering whatever financial assistance as possible; for others, it is a way that they can still forge a connection to the late singer, who was always generous with her time to many of her fans.
There are still many details to likely be released in the case of why the singer was killed, but early indications suggest that the killer (whose name we are intentionally not posting in order to keep from publicizing him further) was an obsessed fan. There are no preliminary signs of any connection between him and the victim beyond that.
We also imagine that there are plenty more tributes still to come; even though “The Voice” will likely not return until September, we have a feeling that the show will choose to honor her in some way.
