TV Quick Hits: Jenna Coleman in ‘Victoria’; ‘Narcos’ season 2 peek; Rachel Bloom on ‘Lip Sync Battle’
First look at “Victoria” – The upcoming ITV series is getting a lot of hype, and understandably so. For one, you’re chronicling the story of one of the most famous queens in the history of the crown. Also, you’re getting the chance to see the first new series for Jenna Coleman following her time on “Doctor Who.”
There is a new preview that you can see for this series over at the link here, but the unfortunate news here is that you have to be in the United Kingdom in order to see it. We can at least offer you the tiny synopsis if you are anywhere else in the world:
“This ambitious 8-part drama follows the early life of Queen Victoria (Jenna Coleman), from her accession to the throne at the tender age of 18 through to her courtship and marriage to Prince Albert (Tom Hughes). The series chronicles the public and private life of one of history’s most interesting and influential monarchs.”
“Narcos” season 2 video – The latest teaser from the streaming provider may not give away a whole lot at all, but we can at least boast that it does give you an official premiere date of September 2, 2016. Also, there’s a lot of mustache going on in here!
Rachel Bloom on “Lip Sync Battle” – On Thursday night’s new edition of the show we’re going to see the “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” star do battle with Michael Shannon, and you can get a tiny taste of what that will look like below! Above all else, it looks like her “Teenage Dream” rendition is going to be rather similar to what people actually went through as teens, complete with zits.
