‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 13: Jason George on astounding longevity of ABC series

Ben -

Grey’s Anatomy” continues to be the show that just won’t end, and we’re certainly happy to see it stay that way so long as the stories are great. Luckily, they have been as of late, and at present, we definitely believe that there is some more fantastic storytelling that is being done consistently.

Jason George is someone who in particular has been killing it on the show, as he has been put through some serious trials as of late as he had to face the aftermath of some key decisions that he made. In speaking further on the subject in a new interview with Digital Spy, he made it clear as to why he thinks the show has been so successful, and why it could last for some time:

“I honestly think it starts with Shonda Rhimes number one. Number two – Ellen Pompeo. Shonda is not only a brilliant writer, but she’s also a brilliant businesswoman and manager. And Ellen is really the leader of the team. If I make a football analogy, Ellen is the quarterback you dream for. Shonda knows how to staff this out – she brings in new showrunners all the time. And she’s brought in new cast members to let it breathe.”

George is one of the “new cast members,” and he has brought a lot to the series over the time that he has been there. ALso, he has opened up the world somewhat for Miranda Bailey, and given her some interesting new material and ways to show more sides of her personality. Unfortunately, we’re going to have to wait until September to get some further news regarding what is coming up next.
