‘The Fosters’ season 4, episode 1 video: Mariana tries to meet up with Nick

We know that Monday night’s new episode of “The Fosters” is going to contain something terrible, as we will see Nick make a decision to bring a gun to school in the wake of seeing Mat and Mariana kiss at the end of last season. While it’s not entirely clear yet what he plans to do with it, this will be an incredibly dangerous situation that could end up changing the lives of many of our favorite characters forever.

Unfortunately, it does not even seem as though Mariana is even remotely aware that something terrible could be happening in the new sneak peek below. In it, she is trying to figure out why she has not heard from Nick in some time, and he texts her, admitting that he saw what was going on between her and her ex. She tells him that “it’s not what you think,” and then asks for them to meet at their signature spot. He agrees.

How Mariana is going to explain this could end up determining what happens from here, and our heart already goes out to her no matter what Nick decides to do. While she should have spoken to Nick about it the moment something happened, she definitely does not deserve being at the center of the dangerous, horrifying situation to come.

We’ll have some other news on the premiere shortly, but for now the only advice we can offer up is to brace yourself and prepare for whatever could be coming up next. It may shock you.
