‘The Fosters’ season 4, episode 1 video: What’s happening with Jesus and Emma?

The premiere of “The Fosters” on Freeform may still be a week await from airing, but we have a little more information right now regarding one of the interesting side stories that could unfold over the course of the coming weeks between Jesus and Emma.

In the sneak peek below, you can take advantage of an opportunity to see the two parties talking things out; specifically, Jesus tells her that he is not with Lexi (though “they talked about it”), and then she asks him if he wants to have sex. Isn’t that a little forward, especially in the hallway at school?

Whatever happens here, we do hope that it makes for some interesting storytelling that gives the Jesus character a chance to at least have a little more fun, given that so much of his arc at the end of last season with Gabe was certainly sad and incredibly heartbreaking to watch unfold. This is a guy who really just wanted everything to work out, and obviously had a certain part of his world shatter when it did not. Now, season 4 could be about him figuring out where he wants to go from here.

Unfortunately, what neither he nor Emma know is that later this episode, a crisis is going to unfold at school over a weapon that Nick, enraged over Mat and Mariana kissing, brings to the building. What happens from here could make this one of the most dangerous, emotional episodes we’ve seen to date.
