‘Poldark’ season 2: A new behind-the-scenes Aidan Turner tease

PoldarkIt feels like it’s been a good while since we’ve had anything new to report on from the world of “Poldark,” and it’s really not that hard to figure out why that is: The show’s done filming, and we’re now in that painful period in between then and the show airing. There’s a whole lot of waiting that goes on within that span of time, but there are also a few things that happen behind-the-scenes that not every viewer may be familiar with.

One of these said things is ADR a.k.a. automated dialogue replacement is a process in which an actor comes in and records dialogue in order to give the show the best audio quality possible. Sometimes, this happens when you are filming out on location, or if you are seeing something if your camera is not on-camera.

As a reward to fans, the show’s official Twitter account shared a behind-the-scenes image earlier this week of star Aidan Turner behind the scenes at one of these sessions, where he is clearly doing his part (while sporting a rather nice hiatus beard) to make season 2 sound as fantastic as it looks. New episodes will start airing a little bit later this year, and hopefully BBC One will give us some further information soon … though we are also well aware that, unlike the United States, they have a rather nasty habit of waiting until just a couple of weeks before a show premieres to announce its start date.

No matter when it returns, we’ll have some further scoop every step of the way!
