The third season of “The Flash” will be premiering on The CW later this fall, and for the time being there’s nothing altogether clear out there when it comes to how the Flashpoint story will be introduced or played out.
With that being said, we can at least give you a little bit more information regarding one recurring character you are going to get a chance to see in the fall. According to TVLine, there is no specific name for this guy, but we know that he will be a “contemporary” of his that is slightly older and also nerdier to go along with it. He’s super-smart, and perceptive enough to realize that Barry may not be who he says that he is.
Also, the casting breakdown suggests that he may have some secrets that he is hiding, which raises the question as to whether or not he could be some sort of villain in this world. Also, you of course have to wonder if this is someone who exists because of Flashpoint, or he will show up once this particular story thread is resolved.
The only thing that we can tell you with confidence at the moment is to probably expect to hear the word Flashpoint so many times over the course of this summer that you’re sick of it by the end. It’s really not often that you have a cliffhanger that is so extreme that it really does shake the entire foundation of a show to its core.
