‘Supergirl’ season 2 spoilers: Lex Luthor’s sister among new characters

When the second season of “Supergirl” premieres on The CW later this fall, Superman is going to be far from the only new face hovering around in National City. We’ve got some of the first scoop on many of the other people who are being cast!

Lena Luthor – Sister of famed villain Lex Luthor, and someone determined to try to separate herself from the shadow of her brother … and how can really blame her? When her brother is one of the most notorious and terrible people out there, we can definitely understand a certain temptation to what to break away from that. What you have to wonder with this series-regular role is whether or not she is hiding something else.

Nick Farrow – He’s a reporter within CatCo, and is described as someone “looking to make a name for himself in the news world but the question of whether he can leave behind his former selfish and hedonistic ways will constantly arise. In hanging out with Kara, the hero in Nick might finally come out.” Like with Lena, he will be a series regular.

The Doctor – She does not apparently possess the ability to go through time and space, but she is a higher-up within Project Cadmus.

Snapper Carr – A journalist hired by Cat to shake up the news division. Also, one of the best names ever for a journalist.

Maggie – A lesbian investigator within the Science Police, a group determined to investigate both alien and meta-human threats.
