NBC’s ‘The Voice’ winner Alisan Porter, Christina Aguilera reunite for performance
Even though it has been a couple of weeks now since the end of “The Voice,” Christina Aguilera is still finding some ways to team up with the winner of her season / former team member Alisan Porter.
In the video below, you can see Porter team up with Aguilera and Colin Smith for a cover of the classic rock song “Whole Lotta Love” while at an event held surrounding Hillary Clinton’s Presidential bid. (The California primary is today, hence the timing.) Whatever your political affiliation is, we have a feeling that you will still find this a heck of an awesome performance.
Hopefully, this is only the beginning of some of what Christina and Alisan do together, since we really think at this point that coach collaborations are going to be one of the few ways in which artists from this show can get some great exposure after the fact. Maybe Porter will be able to reverse the trend, but the show itself, coupled with the record label, has not exactly done a tremendous job over the years helping some of these artists become stars. We at least felt that there was some effort with Jordan Smith following the season this fall, but it’s probably going to take even more than that. Porter’s a tremendous talent, so she deserves every chance in the world to get her name out there.
