‘Preacher’ episode 3 preview: Jesse, Cassidy, and ‘The Possibilities’

When you think for a minute or two about the story of “Preacher,” and also where we’ve been progressing, is there a better episode title out there than “The Possibilities”? We really hesitate to think that there is. Jesse Custer is starting to understand more and more of his powers, and in turn, we’re going to get to see him develop them in some fairly interesting ways. Also, of course Tulip’s got her own motivations and plans for him! Her sense of independence and spirit are some of what makes her an interesting, super-fun addition to this show.

Unfortunately, AMC is keeping up their tradition of not giving us too much when it comes to episode synopses in advance. For the time being, the following is all we really have from the network:

“Jesse explores his newfound power with Cassidy’s help. Meanwhile, armed with new information, Tulip tries to convince Jesse to set out for revenge.”

There is still a lot of time left this season, and of course with that there are plenty of opportunities to see the story develop. We’ll have more on that over time!

Update: We’ve now got the promo for you below, and it’s going to be an interesting episode ahead now that our Preacher knows a thing or two more about the new power of his words. Maybe he can do good with them, though at times may mean that he operates a little bit outside of the bounds of the law or morality.
