‘Bones’ season 11, episode 18 video: Booth and Brennan behind the scenes

What is fun about a show like “Bones” in its eleventh season is that it offers up the cast and crew a chance to experiment a little bit. For example, more often than not Booth and Brennan have no knowledge of the idea that we are watching their story unfold. They are acting as they normally would, and investigating crimes as such.

However, on Thursday night’s “The Movie in the Making,” the two are going meta! They are going to become almost characters on a documentary similar to “The Office,” where a camera crew is following them around getting their thoughts on just about everything … including each other. They talk a little bit about their job, and Brennan also vents her frustrations about how her husband, even after all of these years, continues to refer to her by the nickname “Bones,” even though she hates it. From here, she then goes on to call him “Seeley” much to his own dismay.

Hopefully, this episode contains a lot of fun little quirks like this, but there will also probably be more of a traditional component to it as well. This gives us at least something a little different and refreshing to look forward to, and we appreciate that. There are still several episodes to go this season, so you can expect much more “Bones”-as-usual before we get around to the end of the season.
