While “Saturday Night Live” may be off of the air until fall, the folks over at NBC decided to still save a nice gift for us to get us through the length hiatus: A series of “auditions” for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” that did not make it into the show this past fall featuring the original version of the sketch.
Below, you can see such people try out for the movie as Matthew McConaughey (who was the host at the time), Jennifer Lawrence (played by Vanessa Bayer), Shia LeBeouf (Kyle Mooney), and others. If you remember the original version of the sketch, it should not be much of a surprise here at all for you to see John Boyega and Daisy Ridley also show up in here. (For those of you wondering why we did not get a show hosted by either one of them on this past season, remember that Adam Driver stopped by to host an episode instead. Maybe when Episode VIII of the series premieres in 2017, one of these two stars will stop by.)

The new season of “SNL” will premiere at some point in the fall, but if you need your fix we recommend that you go and check out “Maya & Marty” on NBC. With a few little exceptions here and there, the show is more or less the same exact thing. Also, it was much funnier than we thought that it would be entering the night.
