‘The Flash’ season 3: How will Barry, Iris recover from Flashpoint?

Barry -Mrs. Carter: Flashpoint may change Barry Allen’s relationship with his mother forever on “The Flash,” but what about Iris?

There are many questions that you are likely wondering in the wake of what happened still on the show last week; for us, we personally have been thinking about just how much foresight Barry really had when it comes to how this move would change everything in his life. If Nora Allen survives, then Henry Allen doesn’t go away, which also means that he spends a lot less time growing up with Iris. Therefore, maybe he never falls in love with her; heck, maybe he barely even knows her.

Seeing this relationship change in the early part of season 3 is going to be a huge shock to the system; one of the things that has furthered along the two of them has been this idea of destiny, given that the headlines in the future signaled that they were married, and they even were over on Earth-2. However, if this destiny is destroyed with this move, how much of an aftershock does it have everywhere else? Are they destined to a different fate?

We are certainly still optimistic that at some point during season 3, Barry could restore normalcy and these two could properly talk out their feelings … but even if they do, Barry’s gotta have that inner peace first that while there are many things he’d like to change, he couldn’t. Losing both parents may be heartbreaking, but are there even worse outcomes out there? It’s possible, and even if there are some that are better for him, they could be worse for others. Fate and the timeline are not things to be trifled with easily.
