‘Girl Meets World’ season 3 video: Rowan Blanchard, Sabrina Carpenter, cast talk new opening credits

The third season of “Girl Meets World” is going to be premiering on the Disney Channel come Friday night, and apparently, every aspect of it is getting a fresh coat of paint one way or another — including the theme song, which will have more of a “Boy Meets World” flair to it than ever before.

In the video below, you can see Rowan Blanchard, Sabrina Carpenter, and the rest of the cast discuss what it was like making this new introduction, which you’ll get a chance to see in the premiere and moving forward. This was (per Just Jared Jr.) directed by Cory Matthews himself in Ben Savage, so there is certainly a rather nostalgic touch to it thanks to this alone.

Ultimately, theme songs have become a little bit of a lost art, since there are so many shows out there who would rather just use the small amount of airtime that they have for a complete story. However, we’re glad that “Girl Meets World” takes the time for this, since it sets the tone for the sort of story you’re going to have the rest of the way. There are going to be some moments of humor, but there’ll also be plenty of moments that leave you choked up and reminded of when you were a kid yourself going through such trials and tribulations.
