‘Game of Thrones’ season 6: Sophie Turner on Sansa’s big Littlefinger moment

Game of Thrones

Coming out of this past “Game of Thrones” episode, there was clearly quite a bit to discuss. Not only that, but the majority of it had to do with a certain character in Hodor. It was only inevitable that a few things would be left by the wayside temporarily, with one of them being Sansa Stark morphing into someone more than capable of telling off Littlefinger and standing on her own two feet. He no longer has the power, and she controls more than she has to date.

In discussing this spectacular moment for her character further in a new interview with the Los Angeles Times, Sophie Turner shared the following message:

“It was very empowering. It was a big moment for her. It was kind of a moment where she’s voicing what everyone else is wanting her to say. [It’s] finally happening for her. It was a big thing for me, I think, because it was the first time that she’s really stood on her own and been true to herself and been unafraid to say what she wants and say what she means. It was a very big moment; very, very emotional.”

The sixth season of the show will continue on Sunday, and with that we will get to see more of what happens with Jon and Sansa as they look towards Winterfell and beyond. While it is not entirely clear at present as to whether or not there will be a huge battle there this season, our signs point at least to Ramsay Bolton facing more pressure than he has at any point in the series’ run to date.
