‘Chicago PD’ season 4: Premiere date hopes for Sophia Bush drama

Chicago PD -Tonight, we are nearing the end of the road for “Chicago PD” after what has been a really tremendous third season, one that tested the characters, surprised us, and left us even at times emotionally devastated. Based on what we have heard in advance about the upcoming finale, there’s a very good chance that we will feel this way especially once this episode comes to a close.

So when are we going to get a chance to see the fourth season air? As per usual when talking about a fall-spring show, you’re going to be waiting for a while. NBC won’t release an official premiere date until later this summer, but September or October seems like a realistic window based on what we have seen in terms of dates in the past. The only change that is coming for NBC Wednesday night is that “The Mysteries of Laura” is over, and is going to be replaced by “Blindspot” on the schedule. This will probably be a programming block that lasts for the entire season, so there won’t be as many replacement shows to plug in at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time.

One way or another, we’re sure that the writers will cultivate some great material for Sophia Bush and the rest of the cast coming up. They always have, and it has always tested these characters in interesting ways.

One other thing that we’re pretty sure of is that there will be more connective tissue to “Chicago Justice,” given that this spin-off will be launching at midseason.
