‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 17, episode 23 (finale) video: Benson confronts Munson

Wednesday night’s new episode of “Law & Order: SVU” marks the finale for season 17, and it is becoming increasing clear that the path to stop Gary Munson (Brad Garrett) is going to be increasingly difficult for the members of the team.

In the sneak peek below, you can see specifically what happens when Benson pays a visit to Munson’s home, and they realize that his wife is not alone. The tension is so think, you probably need a chainsaw to cut through it all. It has already been established that Munson is a dangerous, despicable character, and the SVU has to tread carefully because of so many circumstances in this case.

By the end of the finale, there are a few things that we know for certain you can expect: Matters will come to a head, Dodds and Barba in general could be in grave danger, and we will reach an emotional conclusion that will be rather hard to leave off on while we wait for the eighteenth season to premiere this fall. There will be many changes that come along with that, including a new showrunner; we’ll just have to see how the series adapts, and what the next move for Benson and the rest of the SVU is.
