‘Gotham’ season 2 finale video: Hugo Strange takes on Fish Mooney

Clearly, it has not taken Fish Mooney all too long to find her footing since she was brought back from the dead; as a matter of fact, she may be more persuasive than ever before.

In the sneak peek below from Monday’s “Gotham” finale (as first posted by E! News), you can take advantage of the chance to see Jada Pinkett Smith’s character completely hypnotize quite a few people in Strange’s lab, and seems to be convinced that they will help her get on a bus outside of Indian Hill. However, it definitely does not appear as though Strange is anywhere close to being on board with this plan. He basically protests it at every step as we watch her try and head out the door.

It is not entirely clear at the moment just where the third season is going to go, but we definitely have some questions regarding just how long this version of Fish will stick around. There’s not a lot of time left to really justify all of this story momentum if you are just going to kill her off again in the finale; yet, do you really want to commit to a season 3 story with her? In general, there are a lot of recurring villains that need to be dealt with in one way or another, whether it be Strange, Clayface, Firefly, or Mr. Freeze. None of them have “series regular” attached to their name, and we imagine that the Penguin and Edward Nygma are the only two villains we’re incredibly locked-in to seeing once more down the road.
