Tonight on “NCIS,” it all ends for Michael Weatherly’s Agent Tony DiNozzo … at least in terms of his present narrative on the show. We don’t think anything is going to happen to the character or anything, but following this episode, there’s no clear indication as to when we’re going to see him again. Personally, we’re at least somewhat hopeful that Weatherly will come back for a milestone episode or a series finale at some point down the road, but time will tell.
In the sneak peek below, Tony seems to be preoccupied knowing that the farmhouse owned by Ziva’s father in Israel is burning, and it is the last known whereabouts of the character played by Cote de Pablo for many years.
If there is a major reason to still have hope for Ziva, it is this: What are the odds that she was actually in this said place when it was set ablaze? Given how awesome a character that she was, we know her to be able to get out of almost any situation. Weatherly has described the Ziva storyline as having a “Shakespearean” ending in many interviews, and there are a wide array of different meanings for that. We’ll just have to see what form it takes later.
Rest assured that we’re just scratching the surface right now of our coverage of the “NCIS” finale. We will have much more in due time, so come back later for some further coverage, including more reaction to the episode itself.
