‘Shark Tank’ review: Gladiator Lacrosse, Camp No Counselors, Extreme Vehicle Protection, and VP Cabs

Shark Tank -Tonight, “Shark Tank” is really giving you the biggest variety of products as possible. You’ve got summer camp, lacrosse, pinball, and car protection. We do like shows that offer up a wide array of different ideas, that way we don’t feel like we are watching something that will appeal only to a small group of people.

Camp No Counselors – This is an interesting idea mostly from the vantage point of creating an interesting experience in this age of unlimited adolescence. You don’t have to grow up at this camp! Unfortunately, the Sharks had trouble with the valuation. Also, we didn’t see him really changing it around or offering counters. Was he only there for publicity, as it was suggested? We do think that he wanted a deal, but this was a case of someone who was really only flexible by an inch; on “Shark Tank,” you have to be flexible by a few feet. No deal.

Extreme Vehicle Protection – Finally, was this a great way to keep your car safe … at the right cost for the Sharks? We don’t know how enormous a market this is, but it seems like a good, useful product. It had both Daymond John and Kevin O’Leary interested, and this became a case of a straight investment versus a royalty deal. The two guys behind the company ultimately chose Daymond with the investment.

Gladiator Lacrosse – Were the Sharks able to get interested in something like lacrosse? Well, they turned her down on her birthday! Still, we do understand why they did. The Sharks don’t really know the sport, and we wouldn’t really want to invest in something owned by someone who is still a teenager and has so many other things going on. She’ll make enough money from this appearance alone to get to her next step. No deal.

VP Cabs – Were custom digital pinball machines something that the Sharks were interested in? We really like the product; sure, we’re concerned about the price, but this is how much most custom pinball machines cost these days. If Daymond can ramp up production, this gamble will be worth it. We’re just glad to see someone taking a gamble on something like pinball, which we’ve always loved and as a gamer we think it is worthy of a comeback.
