If there is one thing that we’ve clearly had a chance to learn over time about Rosewood and their police force on “Pretty Little Liars,” it is that they are pretty darn incompetent. Typically, they spend most of their time pinpointing something on the Liars, when really they should be looking elsewhere.
Could Nicholas Gonzalez help turn things around for them? We hope so. According to Deadline, the actor (who recently appeared once again on “The Flash” as Cisco’s brother Dante) is going to recur on the Freeform drama in the role of a new detective looking to try and solve the myriad of open homicide cases that exist in the town. Here’s to hoping that he fares better than just about everyone else who has tried their luck at this over the course of the past few seasons.
While many details about the potential final season are still under wraps, we already know that Tammin Sursok is going to be reprising her role as the infamous Jenna, and that the Big Bads at the moment seem to be Jessica DiLaurentis’ secret twin Mary and also Dr. Rollins, who has deceived Alison for the entirety of their relationship. The new season will begin on Tuesday, June 21.
Of course, we imagine that we’ll have much more in the way of news over the course of the weeks ahead. As for a trailer, we envision that this will be coming within a few weeks so that we have a great chance to prepare for whatever Marlene King and the writers have planned.
