‘Longmire’ season 5 spoilers: ‘Unforgettable’ actor set to be potential villain
The fifth season of “Longmire” is getting set to air on Netflix later this year, and we’re starting to get even more of a sense as to what the story is going to be.
We’d heard a thing or two previously about a crime syndicate of sorts being an adversary for Walt Longmire and company, and the latest casting news is an apparent reflection of that. According to a new report coming in now via Deadline, Dylan Walsh of “Unforgettable” fame has been booked to play the role of Shane Muldoon. The description for the character claims that “whether fly fishing or cracking down on loose elements of his criminal enterprise, there’s an ominous edge to Shane’s charming manners.” Therefore, there’s a lot more to him than meets the ye.
One of the things that we are probably the most curious about going into this storyline is how a syndicate of sorts forms in a state like Wyoming that is so sparsely populated, especially since we’ve already seen at least one organization out there in what Jacob Nighthorse has going on that has shown a history of shady dealings from time to time. (The way in which he threatening Walt at the start of season 4 certainly qualifies for that.)
“Longmire” is currently filming in New Mexico, and we imagine that the new season is probably going to start streaming on Netflix in the fall. The last season started in September, so it’s fairly reasonable to wonder whether or not this new batch of episodes will do the same exact thing.
Rest assured that no matter what, we’ll have some other stories on the show the moment they are announced.
