‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5: Sean Maguire thanks fans after Robin Hood surprise
If you watched Sunday night’s episode of “Once Upon a Time” episode, we certainly would understand if you are still feeling emotional about it. We’ve waited for so long to see Regina and Robin Hood have their happily ever after, and now it looks like it’s not going to happen. Instead, Roland doesn’t have a father, Regina doesn’t have a true love, and we’re waiting to see if Zelena can stay on the straight and narrow with her daughter with the man, who she has now named Robin.
Let’s stay for a minute here on Sean Maguire, who posted what we certainly feel is a classy message on social media thanking all of the fans out there for their love and support while he played this character. Maguire was actually not the first man to play the part, as “Lucifer” actor Tom Ellis briefly played the part before it was recast. However, Maguire really brought new life and passion to Robin, and made him the sort of character worth rooting for with Regina.
Have we really see the end of him? We have a hard time imagining that this is the case, even if we cannot imagine him being brought back to life. We’d love to at least get a flashback or something designed to give us a little more closure in the finale, given that he never really had a proper chance to say goodbye. There are still two more hours to come, so here’s to hoping we get that.
We do wish that we had more time with the character alive so we could get more of his backstory, but alas, that just was not mean to be.
