‘The Blacklist’ season 3, episode 21 preview: More on ‘Susan Hargrave,’ potential spin-off
Thursday night’s new episode of “The Blacklist” is going to be an enormous one for a wide array of reasons, with one of the biggest ones being that this installment, entitled “Susan Hargrave,” could be the foundation for a whole other show depending on what NBC decides to do. They have both this and “Chicago Justice” as planted spin-offs, and this one (if ordered) would feature Ryan Eggold as Tom Keen alongside Famke Janssen as the title character, who also goes by the name of “Scottie.”
Hargrave is in charge of an organization entitled Halcyon Aegis, and this is going to be something explored fully on Thursday nights new episode as we start to understand more of where Mr. Solomon fits into the story so far. Speaking on the subject to Entertainment Weekly, Amir Arison (Aram) had the following to say:
“Look, Halcyon is messed up. Solomon is one of their agents. They were the ones [behind] the attempted abduction of Liz Keen, which eventually caused her death, and they were willing to shoot any one of us on the way there.”
We assume that there will still be time in order to determine whether or not Liz is truly dead, and that will be the focus for an installment of the show down the road. For the time being here, we imagine that more of the emphasis is going to be put on questions regarding whether or not there is enough with this story to function as a solo show. We certainly hope so, but we’re not the person making the decision in the end.
