Wednesday night’s new episode of “Arrow” is episode 4×20, so go ahead and make all of your jokes about that right now. Still with us? Then let’s go ahead and dive into what should be a super-intense hour in “Genesis.”
In the video below, executive producer Wendy Mericle does her part to preview what is looking like it will be a rather-tense showdown between John Diggle and his brother Andy, as he starts to use some less-than-moral techniques in order to stop his brother once and for all. It makes sense and it is even understandable that he would want a little bit of vengeance over Laurel’s death, but he has to find a way to do it that does not fundamentally change the man he is, which is a caring husband, father, and someone people rely on. He has to find a way to remember that through the rubble.
This sneak peek also makes you potentially wonder whether or not Alex is yet another Damien Darhk employee, or someone else entirely with less-than-great motives. There’s something odd about the way that he and Thea go on “vacation,” mostly because it feels almost more like a kidnapping than any other sort of getaway.
Finally, Mericle details that this episode will explore more of Oliver’s fears over magic, which really began back on the island. Hopefully, this is where there will be some more connections between the present and the past, as the flashback story as of late has been relatively flimsy at best.
