‘The Good Wife’ series finale video: ‘Do you remember the last time we were happy?’

Following Sunday night’s new episode of “The Good Wife,” what CBS decided to give us was the tiniest of teases regarding what is next: The series finale, and Alicia Florrick figuring out her final moves for her future.

There are many decisions still that we are going to have to see Julianna Margulies’ character make before we get to the end of this episode, and some of them may be dependent on what both the jury and her husband Peter decide. For example, would she really stay with Peter forever if he goes to jail; meanwhile, would she run off with Jason and try more of a flexible future if he is acquitted? What will happen to her job as a result of all of this? Meanwhile, what’s going to happen to the likes of Cary Agos and Diane Lockhart?

At the moment, almost everything is in a state of flux, and that is what makes this finale so fascinating. We can logically see almost any ending happening, and while we’re sure that some would not make longtime fans of the show happy, at least they would make sense. The biggest thing that we dislike about some finales is that they don’t do a tremendous job of tying things up in a way that works for the entire course of the show.

Hopefully, CBS will release some other footage of the finale before we get around to it airing, but for the time being, that’s not necessarily clear. After all, they may want to be extremely secretive about all of this.
