‘Madam Secretary’ season 2, episode 22 preview: Is Henry’s life in jeopardy?

This seems to be a recurring theme for much of “Madam Secretary” season 2 at the moment: Henry McCord finding himself in situations that could end up costing him his life. Earlier this season, the man almost was a victim of radiation poisoning; now, it looks like his hunt for a known terrorist could end up putting him in grave danger.

As you can see in the promo below for Sunday night’s new episode, Tim Daly’s character is going to be doing everything that he can as a part of new Murphy Station organization to make America a little bit safe; however, he is throwing himself in the line of fire, which is why at the end of the promo Elizabeth is informed that they have not heard back from Henry.

Does this mean that the character is dead? Not necessarily, but it does certainly represent the sort of danger that comes with his new job. In general, there have to be questions that Elizabeth and Henry ask themselves at the end of this season, especially when it comes to questioning whether or not this is all worth it. Sure, the two are helping the country with what they do, but for both of them, their lives are on the line. It may not be as serious for Tea Leoni’s character, but remember that there is something to be said for terrorists targeting world leaders and politicians, especially if someone feels like she made the wrong move in her job.
