‘Game of Thrones’ season 6, episode 1 preview: Sansa and Theon’s tricky escape

The season 6 premiere of “Game of Thrones” is coming Sunday night! Who’s excited for that? This is a tremendous opportunity to see how this story continues, and really for one of the first times that fans of the book and TV show are going into the premiere fairly blind. There’s really not too much that is known about what’s going to happen, and therefore there’s no more worrying that someone is going to spoil a huge moment like the Red Wedding for you anymore.

In this photo preview for the premiere, we have a quick glimpse at Theon and Sansa during what is going to be an extremely-daring (and cold) escape for the two of them. They may have managed to escape the clutches of Ramsey Bolton, but that does not even remotely mean that the two are going to be safe. They still have to avoid being found, or being killed by any other unspeakable danger that exists in Westeros.

What also is problematic for these two is that they are hardly going to go unrecognized during the journey. Both of them are famous in their own ways. Theon, of course, is infamous in many thanks to his past actions in Winterfell, while Sansa is one of the few remaining Starks. Given her association with that family and in King’s Landing, she will be more than likely sought-after all across the realm.

Ultimately, we’re intrigued to see where this partnership will lead, or if there is any way at all these two can come out of this alive.
