‘Mr. Robot’ season 2 premiere date official

Just in case you have been curious just when USA would be starting back up one of the best series of 2015 in “Mr. Robot,” we now have the official news: Wednesday, July 13 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time.

To say that this is a show that will be coming back with lofty expectations would be an understatement. It’s considered by some to be a favorite for the Outstanding Drama Series Emmy Award later this year, and it also is a show that has really invigorated a medium of storytelling on television. So often, shows with narrators give us a very omniscient point of view, where you can trust almost everything that they are saying. Even when it is singular a la Carrie Bradshaw on “Sex and the City,” you at least know what she says to be true to herself and her point of view.

For Elliot Anderson on the USA series, you have a man fresh off of a psychotic break, and someone who cannot be trusted with his own mind. He’s unreliable, mysterious, and his perception is not always reality. This is why it took so long to learn the truth about Mr. Robot and fsociety, and why some of the events at the end of the season are even more jarring.

While we have learned a little about some familiar faces cropping up in season 2 (including Craig Robinson of “The Office” fame), we still do not know precisely how they will integrate into the story, or where we are picking up. These are events that we are excited to explore further.
