ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 5 spoilers: ‘Trump Card’ and the quest to defeat Hollis Doyle

It really should not come as much of a surprise to anyone that there is an upcoming episode of “Scandal” entitled “Trump Card,” and one of the big focuses of this episode is going to be dealing with none other than Hollis Doyle. It’s been pretty well-chronicled at this point that he is the show’s version of Donald Trump, but we do not quite get the same sense that the series is looking in any way for him to be the party frontrunner. He’s more a thorn in the side of many people who are running.

Nonetheless, we have for you below some of the first details regarding this episode which is airing on May 5 and is one of the last ones for the show this season:

“Olivia and Abby have to put their differences aside and work together to try and take Hollis Doyle down. Meanwhile, Edison realizes he may have made a deal with the devil as Rowan and Jake continue to try and pull the strings behind his campaign.”

Yes, we could have warned Edison about this a long time ago, as we’ve seen time and time again examples of just how they are dealing with someone who is the epitome of bad news and then some. There is very little in the way of good that comes from working alongside Rowan and Jake, two guys known for causing drama and problems … and not really known for lending anyone much in the way of a helping hand.
