‘Game of Thrones’ season 6: Liam Cunningham praises Jon Snow ‘performance’ as dead body

Davos -

It’s almost become a running joke as of late among the “Game of Thrones” cast, or possibly a way to entertain each other after being asked the same questions time and time again about the fate of Jon Snow: Talking about Kit Harington as a corpse. Perhaps as a means to combat talk that the actor was spotted in Belfast during filming, HBO has apparently allowed the cast to say that he was filming scenes as a dead body.

Now, we even have Liam Cunningham hilariously praising this said dead-body performance. Speaking to TVLine, the man behind the role of Davos had his own super-unique critique on some of these scenes featuring the actor:

“He gives good corpse … It’s a pig of a job being a dead body. It’s really difficult, especially for elongated scenes. To just be there and not breathe.

“And you get forgotten about [by the] crew. Nobody talks to you. They step over you. It’s a really weird dynamic. You’re ignored and dead.”

These jokes are to us a great deal of fun, even though we do feel at the same time as though Jon will be brought back to life somehow. There are plenty of explanations why and how, given that this is a world where magic exists. This also happens to be a world where someone like Melisandre is out there who has already taken some sort of personal affinity to Jon, and possesses the ability to (possibly) revive him in a way few others can. We’ll just have to see how that ends up working.
