‘Supergirl’ finale reaction: Show boss on pod mystery, season 2 hopes

Supergirl -The first season of “Supergirl” is now at a close, and while we don’t think that the finale necessarily topped some others that we’ve seen in the superhero genre as of late, we’re still not going to deny that it was a lot of fun. This was one of the more fast-paced episodes the show has given us, and while it resolved the stories of Non and Indigo, it did set up another key mystery: What in the world is with the pod in the end? Is there an important person in there, or something else valuable from Krypton?

Of course, at the moment executive producer Ali Adler is not saying one way or another, but she did tell TVLine in a new interview that it is something they are clearly holding to the vest while they wait to learn the truth about their season 2 status:

“We’ve absolutely had conversations — we’re waiting to tell CBS. In the spirit of good, old-fashioned cliffhangers, we certainly answer many more questions in terms of her trajectory with Jimmy Olsen, her relationship with Alex. We prove what an incredible hero she is. She was sent to save this world, and she does.”

There have been some conversations with the network, and for the most part, almost everyone seems hopeful that there will be more of this story. We certainly are going to lump us in this same category, mostly because of the fact that there is much more story to tell, and this is the sort of show that could improve very much now that it has a full summer to think about ideas.
