‘Supergirl’ episode 20 (finale) spoilers: The aftermath of Kara – Alex fight

The finale of “Supergirl” is going to be coming your way on CBS Monday night, and there are a few things that you can expect to see.

For the sake of this particular sneak peek, though, we’re putting the focus almost entirely on the big cliffhanger that came at the end of this past episode, mostly because of the fact that we’re in store for an epic showdown between Kara and her own sister Alex. Alex is being controlled by Non, and she’s sporting a suit that effectively has her becoming a supervillain in her own right. She’s extremely dangerous in this form, especially since she just so happens to have the same kryptonite sword that was responsible for killing Astra earlier this season. It’s all part of the sick plan Non has to have Kara feel exactly what it was like when Alex (who was of sound mind at the time) ended up killing his wife.

Is there a way still to get to Alex, and show her that this is the wrong way to go about doing things? Luckily, it seems like there could be a way in the form of Kara and Alex’s mother, who is being protected by Hank to ensure that she doesn’t fall victim to Myriad. She tells her to be strong, and try to push back against whatever sort of mind control is operating over her. Given where Kara is at the moment and her refusal to kill her own sister, this may be the only way to ensure everyone emerges from this battle in one piece.
