‘Game of Thrones’ season 6 spoilers: Sophie Turner hints at Sansa’s revenge

There are many different characters at this point worth rooting for on “Game of Thrones,” but few have the same sort of drive or motivation as Sansa Stark at this point. We’ve come to know her as extremely likable over the course of time, and with that, we’re very much interested in seeing how she bounces back from some of the terrible things that have been done to her. Like Arya, she may have a list of people she wants to destroy … but she is going to be trying to find a very different sort of way to make it happen.

In setting up her character’s arc to TVLine, Sophie Turner makes it very clear precisely what her motivations are over the course of the episodes ahead:

“All of this injustice has happened to her the past five seasons. Now it’s about her getting revenge on people who have completely destroyed her life right from the beginning. [Season 6] is about her — step by step — trying to eliminate the enemy. This is the season where she’s starting to turn things around and people are starting to rally for her … She’s trying to get people to listen to her. She’s building a group of trusted people that will help her get what she wants, which is — ultimately — revenge.”

The sixth season premieres on April 24, and we are very much thrilled to see that this character is going to get a chance to fight back. Hopefully, her revenge on Ramsay Bolton will be in particular something for the ages, especially now that she has someone in Theon is by her side with his own thirst for payback.
