‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 12, episode 17 reaction: The latest on Jackson and Avery

Jackson -While we have spent quite a bit of time on “Grey’s Anatomy” as of late discussing the saga of Meredith and some other characters, to us it’s fairly clear that above all else, Thursday night’s new episode “I Wear the Face” was about April, Jackson, and their latest setback to getting back on the same page.

To think, if the two would just sit down and communicate like normal people without the distractions, they would figure this out. Instead, April overhears Catherine Avery talking about getting Jackson to fight for custody of the child on the grounds of everything that has happened, and assumes that this is gospel. Therefore, she gets a restraining order on him, not aware that he has no such intention; as a matter of fact, she even arrives home to find a crib. This whole not-fighting strategy is quickly going to turn ugly, and it probably could’ve been avoided if more care was taken.

This was only the tip of the iceberg in this hour when it comes to developments: Penny gets a new grant that shocks Callie, Edwards feels slighted, and Owen starts to become increasingly angry when he feels like Riggs’ side of the story when it comes to his sister does not actually align with the facts. Also, we had a teen pregnancy story that started off heartbreaking, but ended up bringing a mother and her daughter closer together.

Finally, Wilmer Valderrama. What’s not to like about Wilmer Valderrama?
