‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 9, episode 20 video: Obsessive Raj is back!

Thursday night’s new episode of “The Big Bang Theory” is right about here, and given the sneak peek and the photo above, we’re starting to feel loud and clear that this is going to be a heck of a fun half-hour of TV … especially for the character of Raj.

You see, Raj loves celebrations, and if we’ve learned one thing about him through nine years, it is that it really doesn’t matter too much to him what the celebration is for. As an example, he is taking the announcement of Bernadette’s pregnancy like he is the father, the mother, and the godparent all at the same time. He has brought her gifts, taken her to appointments, and has compiled all sorts of advice for her while Howard is doing next to nothing.

While seeing Raj do this make Howard feel like he should get more involved? Maybe eventually, if for no other reason than this is a guy who does occasionally need that kick in the butt to get things moving. Yes, in theory you’d think that he would be able to do that without too much of a problem … but that’s not working out so far.

Given that this episode has “Big Bear” in the title and we’re going to be seeing Sheldon head to a cabin with Leonard and Penny, we also wonder if there is a double-meaning here that goes beyond the bear in the image above. In the end, we reckon that only time will tell.
