‘Supergirl’ finale spoilers: Is everyone going to make it out alive?

Supergirl -While death may not be extremely commonplace throughout the Greg Berlanti – DC Comics universe on TV, it does happen on a fairly regular basis. Just look at Moira Queen on “Arrow,” Eddie Thawne on “The Flash,” or whoever is going to be in the grave on “Arrow” a little bit later this season.

So why wouldn’t “Supergirl” join the ranks further? We’ve already seen Alex Danvers kill Astra, and Berlanti told Entertainment Weekly that “you should” expect another death to come by the end of the finale. Why? As he put it, it’s “only because it would be a lot less exciting if I said no.” Maybe this is not full confirmation that someone is for-sure dying, but it’s something that should be firmly on the radar.

Personally, we’d be shocked if the series were to eliminate any of the good guys at the moment, at least of the people who are series regulars since there is still so much more that could be explored with many of them. Maybe you could argue that Lucy Lane is a little more expendable, but we’re still holding out hope that they do the Superwoman arc at some point down the road, however unlikely that may be.

One other note that we’ll leave you with is a comment “Legends of Tomorrow” / “Supergirl” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg also made to the website regarding some future crossovers between the two shows: “The Waverider can do [anything] and go anywhere.” We don’t see that as a definite sign that something is happening, but it is for sure something that you have to be aware of moving into the future.
