‘Survivor: Kaoh Rong’ episode 8 preview: Could Cydney – Jason fight give the Brains hope?
At the end of Wednesday night’s new “Survivor: Kaoh Rong” episode, it was pretty clear that the Brains tribe were in dire straits. With Neal getting medically evacuated from the game, this meant that there were only three people left in Aubry, Joe, and Debbie. Of these three, Aubry is the only one who has shown the ability to have a good social game consistently, and we’re going to have a little bit of faith in her pulling this out.
The problem now is that she’s up against a pretty immovable coalition of the Brawn and Beauty. Before the vote tonight, there was a chance that Nick and Michele could have swung with them. Now, there’s no way these two are going to make it a 5 – 5 tie, and there’s no incentive for Tai or Julia to flip right now based on where they are in the group. There’s also that super-idol that could protect everyone for a while.
Ultimately, our fear at this point is that we could be in for a boring next couple of episodes as some of the Brains are just picked off. The preview tried to suggest that a fight between Cydney and Jason could convince her to make a move on them, but we have a hard time seeing where she gets the numbers from. Unless she has a better bond with Nick and Michele than we’ve seen, we don’t see her being able to pull over Tai or Julia when they’ve got a bond now with Scot.
Who knows? Anything can happen in this game, and suffice it to say we’re extremely curious to learn why Neal didn’t hand off the immunity idol when we speak to him tomorrow.
