‘Marvel’s Most Wanted’: Oded Fehr cast as mystery Marvel character in ‘Agents of SHIELD’ spin-off pilot

It could happen -

While there is still no definite word regarding whether or not ABC is going to ever even air the “Agents of SHIELD” spin-off entitled “Marvel’s Most Wanted,” we are getting a sense now that they are really beefing up the pilot with some big names for TV fans.

On Friday, it was announced that “Covert Affairs” alum Oded Fehr, who has also appeared recently on “Stitchers,” has been cast for what is at present a mystery role for the show. However, the statement does reveal that he is a prominent character from within the Marvel universe, so we imagine that some out there will be familiar with the role.

In a statement discussing the casting further, Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb had the following message to pass along:

“When Oded came in to read for this part, we knew we found our guy … He carries with him a villainous charm that will strike perfectly for this role.”

Given that Adrianne Palicki (Bobbi Morse) and Nick Blood (Lance Hunter) have already been written out of “Agents of SHIELD” proper, the remaining order of business now is for them to film this new pilot. We imagine that it will be fast-paced and exciting, and it also needs almost right away to do enough to establish itself as different from any other Marvel series that is out there (and there are plenty of them).

We’ll have more on this pilot as the news comes out!
