‘The Last Ship’ season 3 scores premiere date; see Eric Dane, cast in first trailer!
For all of you who are excited about the return of “The Last Ship” season 3 to the same degree that we are, rest assured that there are some great things coming up!
Today at WonderCon in Los Angeles, TNT confirmed that the latest batch of episodes will premiere on Sunday, June 12 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. The season 2 finale ended with many different developments, including President Michener opting to give Eric Dane’s character of Chandler a more prominent role in the military after he worked so hard to rescue him. Unfortunately, it also featured what could be the death of Rachel after the character was shot.
The network has now also released their first trailer for the new season (courtesy of TVLine), and unfortunately, there’s really not too much in the way of insight into Rachel’s fate in it. (That’s obviously an intentional move.) We’re hoping that she will still make it through, mostly because the vast majority of time, we find that people who are sort-of killed off in trailers end up somehow making in through in the end. We’ll see if that happens here.
Regardless of Rachel’s fate, though, this new trailer hypes up a variety of new challenges for Chandler and the Nathan James as they take on some new territories, and try to figure out everything else that is still out there after the world was devastated and fragmented. Superficially, it definitely appears that there is quite a bit still to like this season.
