Prepare for ‘Halt and Catch Fire’ season 3 early! Season to premieres on Netflix

It’s not often that we get a chance to talk about “Halt and Catch Fire” during the off-season, so when you do you better think we’re going to take advantage of it almost every chance that we can.

This brings us to the excellent news that we have today via show executive producer Christopher C. Rogers: Season 2 is on Netflix a little earlier than expected. Why is this wonderful news to us? It symbolizes further that AMC realizes the value of putting their show on the service to build up an audience. Several years ago, this is what turned a certain show in “Breaking Bad” into a cultural phenomenon, and it’s also been helpful to “The Walking Dead” and “Mad Men” over time.

Will giving new viewers a further chance to catch up help the upcoming third season’s ratings? We are no predictor of the future, so it’s ultimately a little tough to say. However, at the same exact time it certainly helps; the biggest thing that viewers need to be aware of on Netflix is when the show is returning with new episodes, and it’s a shame that it is rather hard to program that is. We’re not sure the average “Halt and Catch Fire” Netflix viewer watches enough other programs on the network to catch any advertising. Maybe they watch “The Walking Dead,” but even if they do, it comes on before it is really close enough to promote the Lee Pace series.

If you haven’t caught season 2 of “Halt” yet, go check it out! While season 1 was very good, season 2 elevated the show to Top 10 status among anything on TV.
